Tell me about the founder of Adventure Seeker

Amber Beaumont started  “Adventure Seeker” with the aim of inspiring, and helping  others to explore Raglan NZ and beyond.

Adventure Seeker Raglan focuses on two things:

  1. Helping people climb Mt pirongia and Mt Karioi
  2. Adventure Blogs and Videos you can read/watch to inspire you and help give you adventure ideas

Q & A with the Seeker…

Where did the inspiration come from for the Blog? What’s the story behind it?

I have always been passionate for outdoor adventure and staying active. I was on holiday in Bali for 5 weeks and was doing so many cool adventurous things, that I decided to start blogging about them so other people could do them as well. That’s when I started the website “Adventure Seeker”. I continued to blog when I got back to NZ as well.

What are the best things about your life?

Living in Raglan by the sea, having good friends, a wonderful partner and doing what I’m passionate about. Outdoor Adventures and exploring  the outdoors with others.

What are three important lessons you’ve learnt along the way?

  1. Be passionate about what you do. If you are not passionate, do something else, life is too short to do something you don’t enjoy
  2. Surround yourself with like-minded, positive people
  3. It’s ok to fail, it’s part of the process to succeed

Any advice for people in general?

You can achieve anything you put your mind to. Think big!

Sometimes I find that people don’t realise their potential. Have a ten year goal and have patience. The biggest reason people fail is because they try to achieve something too quickly. When the dream is not coming to fruition, they get stressed, but if it is a 10 year dream then you can enjoy the process. No rush, no pressure, no stress if they have a hiccup one year, because (between you and me) you should enjoy the journey and the process.

Once you reach your dream, you will be fulfilled for a short period of time, but you will need to start working on your next dream. So enjoy the process, find something you love/are passionate about and turn it into an income earner.

I’m a big believer that you must be passionate about your goals. If you are not, you will never do as well as you aspire to, simply because you don’t have the drive to go the extra mile. When you are passionate about what you do, you don’t even think about it, your energy as you sell a product or service will be contagious, positive, inspiring and likeable. You will naturally care more, and your customers will pick up on this as well.
